Heaven forbid! Focus on ONE niche? You're killing me.

Yes. You too can niche, despite being multi-passionate

[YOU] C’mon. Staying on ONE topic for too long is killin me. Are you joking?

Well, no, I’m not joking. Your topic might be an inch wide…but it’s a mile deep. And I dare you to discover it fully, but you may have to slow down a bit.

I'm positive that you can do this – even if you get bored easily. Even if pursuing the one thing, specialising on the one niche sounds dull to you right now.

I’ve been where you are

If you're anything like me then you might be an easily bored thrill seeker! Excitement, surprises, and novelty delight you and you loathe routine, structure, repetition.

But if you want to achieve your business goals, you’ll have to buckle down and focus on one thing at a time. So claim and own a niche, discover all its secrets, fascinating truths, connections. I've done just that and if I can do this, you can too.

Your niche is a gold well

Ready to dig up some excitement for your niche?

Firstly, don't perceive your niche as a box. Look at your niche as a well, a gold mine and remember: it may be an inch wide BUT it’s a mile deep.

 So...what are you waiting for?

Dig, and don’t stop when it gets harder. Challenge yourself, keep going until you get to the gold. Expect long plateaus along the way, nothing happens and then you’ll hit occasional bumps. Know that once you've overcome these, you'll reach the next level. Climb the levels. Find fulfilment in deep knowledge. This is not something people are born with, you can choose it.

Get in the zone

Slow down, get into the detail, peel away the layers of your topic. Dive into your niche, listen what it tells you, observe it, live it, embody it!

And congratulate yourself, you're seeing things through now, you can shake off that jack of all trades vibe.

Immerse Yourself

Give your niche some real commitment. Time and actions. Turn professional. Show up every day, no matter what. Stay on the job. Commit to your topic, long term.

Find the fun

And let me ask you: how exactly are you working in your niche? Are you having fun or are you toiling away? You have a choice here.

It’s on you alone to make your business fun! It doesn’t have to be painstaking.

And if you’re working hard to find the fun in your niche, but can’t? You know, you can look for excitement elsewhere in your life, it doesn’t all have to come from your business.

Change your identity

Don’t feel you can be consistent with the one narrow topic?

Well, I’m not buying it 100%, because you do have some choice here. Transform yourself into that 7-figure CEO. Start by showing yourself that you CAN stick to something, by being consistent with other things – whether that’s making your bed every day without fail or taking up a daily yoga practice as a non-negotiable every day. If you can do that you can stick to one niche - surely? You have control over this.

Understand why you have to show up with the same topic

You need to give people that have never met you and browse past in seconds a ‘label’ to file you away under.

Of course! You’re so much more than a label, but you wanna make it easy for people to remember you at first!

Let’s face it, it’s either the label, or being forgotten, I'm afraid.

Think of a famous person.

And now tell me what label, idea or archetype they stand for. I bet that you that you can do this!

Just off the top of my head...

Madonna - Reinvention

Greta Thunberg - Climate Crisis

Give browsers something to hold onto when they come across you, something they can file you away under. That way, you won’t get tossed in with the instantly forgotten sea of same-ys. The more specific and memorable you are, the more likely you’ll get a file just for yourself in people's mind.

Yes! You get to express your full personality in your business. But let the entry point be a defined archetype, that makes growing your audience so much easier.

So staying on on topic might be tough for the multi-passionate, but it’s good for business.

Or are you still telling me you can't specialise in one area? Are you telling me you wanna stay an amateur?

Because if you don't claim your niche, and keep hopping from topic to topic you won't stand out in anything, you won’t be able to lead and help people and you won’t be able to fulfil your calling. And you won’t be able to get your business off the ground.

You have a choice here: running on empty whilst creating a myriad of half finished and unsold offers OR focusing on the one thing for a while and getting traction (and taking it from there!!!)

Are you going to find your passion topic for now and stick with it, even if it’s uncomfortable? If you do that, you’ll expand.
